Description
The Diria Coffee tour is a project that was founded on December 12, 2003, to benefit the Matambu community. The purpose of the project is to teach national and international tourists about how coffee is grown and processed.
The tour is in Matambu, which is a small town located in an indigenous reserve in the Hojancha province. It is the only indigenous reserve in Guanacaste and the town is characterized by its commitment to conservation, recycling, and environmental protection. This is a truly unique experience, which follows the journey of the bean from when seeds are first sewn, all the way to when your favourite drink is poured into your cup. Followed by a visit to Matambú area to have a workshop about Rosquillas, a typical bread of the area. All including a delicious Costa Rican lunch.
